The packaging alone told me these people care about what they ship. For what we paid, I expected to compromise somewhere, and I did not. Afternoon light in this room is intense, so I kept it out of the direct beam and the color has not shifted. Anyone hesitating should just place the order. 🙂
I was expecting to be a little disappointed and I was not, not even slightly. There is real depth in Head of a Girl that cheaper versions lose completely. The handwritten note in the box was a nice touch that I did not expect. The finish does not look like something off an assembly line.
I have ordered from four stores this year and this was the only one with no issues. My husband could not name a van Dyck painting before this, and now he points Head of a Girl out to guests. The warm neutral pulls out the warm tones in our furniture better than I planned. It is easily my favorite thing in the dining room now.
I ordered this on a whim during a sale and it turned out to be the best thing I bought all year. My daughter recognized Head of a Girl from a museum trip we took two summers ago.
