Claude Lorrain's Panorama from the Sasso takes in a great sweep of the Roman countryside — hills folding away into soft distance, the land drawn wide and low in delicate wash and line. It's a landscape to breathe in, all air and horizon, made by an artist who walked the Campagna and drew what stilled him. The mood is spacious and calm, nothing hurried. Along a hallway or above a desk, it lends a room a sense of openness, of far country seen on a clear, quiet day.

In Good Company

My neighbor saw it through the window and ordered one that night. I have seen Panorama from the Sasso in books for twenty years and this is the first version that felt right. My sister ordered the same thing for her place a week later. Everything about the fit in the breakfast nook came out right on the first try.

Took three weeks to arrive

The size runs slightly smaller than I had in my head from the listing. Reproducing Panorama from the Sasso at this size was never going to be perfect, and this comes close. I have recommended it to two people already, with a note about the wait. It is not perfect, and I am still pleased.

Bought two more

We put the poster in the guest bedroom the night it came and the space finally makes sense. The detail in Panorama from the Sasso came through far better than I expected at this size. It looks expensive next to things that cost twice as much. I could not be happier with how this turned out.

ordering another one soon

I bought this for my first apartment and it made the place feel like mine. Visitors notice Panorama from the Sasso before they notice the furniture. Everything about the experience was easy. 👌

Nothing I would change

This was a fortieth birthday present for my wife and she teared up a little. For anyone choosing between Lorrain pieces, Panorama from the Sasso is the one to get. My only regret is not ordering it a year ago.
