The making

Woven to order as a jacquard tapestry cushion, then finished and checked by hand before it ships.

Materials & Care

Woven cotton-blend cover with a soft fill. Spot-clean, or remove the cover and machine wash cold on gentle; lay flat to dry.

Dimensions

Choose your size above. Woven by the piece, so expect small, characterful variation.

Shipping & Returns

Woven and shipped in about two weeks — roughly one week to make, one to deliver. Easy returns within 30 days.

Claude Lorrain's Scene of Brigands — figures loitering among rocks and shadowed trees, a thread of narrative running through a wooded, atmospheric landscape. Woven soft, the deep greens and browns turn tactile and grounding. A cushion with a touch of story for the corner of the sofa or a reading chair, art to lean into on a slow evening.

  • Jacquard-woven on both sides in soft, durable yarn
  • Plush and textural — insert included
  • For the sofa, a bed or a reading chair
  • Made to order, just for you

Thin and flimsy

What arrived is not what I believed I was ordering. For the price of this Lorrain, Scene of Brigands should look far better than it does.

This is not the experience we want anyone to have. Reply here with your order number and we will get a prepaid return label to you within the hour. - Nadia, Customer Care

Warmer tone than the listing

This is my second order here and the quality has been steady both times. The version of Scene of Brigands here beats the one I nearly bought elsewhere. The color difference is small enough that only I notice it. Would I order again, probably yes.

Expensive but good

The listing photos are flattering, which I expected, and it is still nice in person. There is a small area of Scene of Brigands where the definition drops off. Good enough that I am considering a second one.

The description was accurate for the pillow we received, in a slightly lighter tone than the photos. My father spotted Scene of Brigands from the doorway and asked about it. Recommend it if you are not in a hurry.

good, not flawless

Customer service was polite and quick when I asked about the lead time.
