Our powder room had been half finished for a year and this was the piece that closed it out. Visitors notice Death of Ananias before they notice the furniture. It handled a Tennessee summer of open windows and afternoon storms without any trouble. If something happened to it I would replace it the same day.
I ordered on a Sunday night and it was at my door Wednesday morning. Every figure in Death of Ananias is sharp enough to pick out, which I did not expect from a Constable at this price. Delivery was quick and the tracking never went quiet. We keep ceiling fans running most of the year and it has not shifted an inch.
I paid more than I usually would and I am mostly glad I did. Reproducing Death of Ananias at this size was never going to be perfect, and this comes close. Solid purchase, all things considered. 🙂
The packaging alone told me these people care about what they ship. For anyone choosing between Constable pieces, Death of Ananias is the one to get. The seams on the blanket are straight and tight, with no loose threads. It looks expensive next to things that cost twice as much. My only regret is not ordering it a year ago.
I was expecting to be a little disappointed and I was not, not even slightly. I grew up with Death of Ananias on a calendar in my grandmother's kitchen and this is a far better version. It made the whole kitchen come together.
