The color is not quite what I pictured and I have made peace with that. The detail in The Vase of Tulips is good, though not as crisp as the close-up photos suggested. The paper on the poster is good stock, though the trim is slightly uneven on one edge. The warm neutral sits closer to cream than the white I expected. I would give it four and a half if the site allowed.
I measured twice and still ended up wishing I had gone one size larger. Anyone who knows Cezanne will recognize The Vase of Tulips from across the room. The order confirmation came instantly and then nothing for ten days. The edges are neat, with nothing loose or uneven. It works with the heart pine floors in our 1920s house better than anything else we tried.
Everything was intact when I opened it, which counted for more than the delay. I get more comments about The Vase of Tulips than about anything else we own.
We ordered the poster for the den and ended up moving it somewhere everyone can see it. Standing six feet back, The Vase of Tulips reads exactly the way it should. The warm neutral pulls out the warm tones in our furniture better than I planned. The finish does not look like something off an assembly line.
Nothing about this felt like a gamble once I opened it. My husband could not name a Cezanne painting before this, and now he points The Vase of Tulips out to guests. It has exceeded what I hoped for.
