This showed up three days after I ordered it and I have not stopped looking at it since. I have seen Cypresses in books for twenty years and this is the first version that felt right. Two people have taken a photo of it to send to someone else.
It is not bad, it just is not worth what I paid. Parts of Cypresses blur together where they should be distinct.
This was a gift for my brother and he has already asked where it came from. This is my second van Gogh from this store and Cypresses is the better of the two. 🙂
I ordered on a Sunday night and it was at my door Wednesday morning. Ordering this meant seeing Cypresses every single morning, which was the whole point. It survived a week of the air conditioning being out in Houston in July. It has exceeded what I hoped for.
The packaging alone told me these people care about what they ship. The blues in Cypresses match what I remember from seeing the van Gogh in person. The poster came rolled with tissue between every layer and not one crease anywhere. There was no smell at all when I opened it, which was my one worry. I have zero notes.
