I asked about dimensions before ordering and had a clear answer within the hour. A Canaletto at this price seemed too good to be true, and Portico with a Lantern proved me wrong. Everything about the fit in the entryway came out right on the first try. Radiator heat and drafty old windows have not done a thing to it since December.
Everything was intact when I opened it, which counted for more than the delay. There is more green in Portico with a Lantern than I expected from the photos. Worth the money, not a steal.
I ordered on a Sunday night and it was at my door Wednesday morning. The texture in Portico with a Lantern is visible from across the room. Even my father in law said something, and he never says anything. The color matches the listing photos closely enough that I did a double take. Already deciding where the next one goes.
The deep blue is exactly what showed on my monitor, which almost never happens. This was my first Canaletto in the house, and Portico with a Lantern has more than earned its spot. My teenage son asked if he could have it for his room, which is unheard of. We keep ceiling fans running most of the year and it has not shifted an inch. Already deciding where the next one goes.
I was expecting to be a little disappointed and I was not, not even slightly. The blues in Portico with a Lantern match what I remember from seeing the Canaletto in person. The quality of the materials is the first thing you notice. It got here ahead of the estimate and in perfect condition.
I sent a question about care the day it arrived and got a real answer from a real person. Colors across Portico with a Lantern are deep and even, right out to the edges. Everything came double boxed with the corners padded. Support answered my email the same afternoon with an actual answer.
