The making

Woven as a jacquard tapestry from soft, durable yarns and finished by hand — made to drape and to last.

Materials & Care

Woven cotton-blend tapestry. Machine wash cold on gentle; tumble dry low or lay flat. Do not bleach.

Dimensions

See the size above. Woven by the piece, so expect small, characterful variation.

Shipping & Returns

Woven and shipped in about two weeks — roughly one week to make, one to deliver. Easy returns within 30 days.

Francesco Guardi's Adoration of the Shepherds — the nativity caught in quick, luminous strokes, shepherds gathering in wonder around the child in a wash of light and shade. Woven into a soft, double-sided throw, that gentle radiance settles a room. Draw it over your lap on the sofa on a cool evening, or fold it over the foot of the bed where it holds the eye as a small, tender piece of art.

  • Jacquard-woven, double-sided and reversible; finished with fringed edges
  • Soft, cosy cotton-blend — a warm layer and a piece of art at once
  • Machine washable; made to order

Almost perfect

Everything was intact when I opened it, which counted for more than the delay. I get more comments about Adoration of the Shepherds than about anything else we own.

Happy this worked out. Let us know how it holds up over the year. - the Slow Objet team

Customer service was polite and quick when I asked about the lead time. Edges around Adoration of the Shepherds are slightly tighter than the listing image showed. It took a couple of days of moving things around before it looked right. Good enough that I am considering a second one.

Pretty close to the photos

The materials feel good and the finish is even, top to bottom. I get more comments about Adoration of the Shepherds than about anything else we own. The price is high for the category, and the quality mostly justifies it. Fog rolls in most mornings out here and it has stayed fresh through all of it. It solves the problem I bought it for.

Great to read, thank you. We are glad it landed in the right spot. - Customer Care

My husband noticed immediately

My mom has been asking for the link since the day she saw it. Everything that makes Adoration of the Shepherds worth looking at is still there up close. It is exactly what I was picturing.

Small size surprise

I paid more than I usually would and I am mostly glad I did…

I ordered two things and only one of them was worth keeping. Anyone expecting museum quality from this Guardi should adjust that, though Adoration of the Shepherds is recognizable. Slightly regretful, not enough to act on it.

Nothing I would change

I have bought a lot of things online that looked better on a screen, and this was the opposite. Visitors notice Adoration of the Shepherds before they notice the furniture. Already deciding where the next one goes.

Mixed feelings

I like it from a distance and less as I get closer. Choosing this Guardi was the right idea and Adoration of the Shepherds was the wrong execution. I would hesitate before spending here again.

Made our powder room

Everything about this order went right, from checkout to the moment I opened the box. Standing six feet back, Adoration of the Shepherds reads exactly the way it should. You will not find better at this price.

Third order from this store

I ordered on a Sunday night and it was at my door Wednesday morning. The listing dimensions were accurate to within about half an inch.

My favorite thing here

I asked about dimensions before ordering and had a clear answer within the hour. Buying this came down to Adoration of the Shepherds, and it was the right call. It has held up to two kids and a golden retriever without any complaints from me. The color matches the listing photos closely enough that I did a double take.

Six months in, still perfect

I read every review before ordering and I can confirm they were all accurate…
