Vermeer's The Glass of Wine holds a hushed domestic moment — a woman lifting a glass, a man waiting quietly beside her, daylight filtering through a leaded window onto the tiled floor. Like all Vermeer, it's less about the story than the stillness: the calm of an ordinary room, colour and light handled with impossible care. There's a poised, unhurried grace to it. A quietly beautiful piece for a dining room, a sitting room or anywhere a wall rewards a second glance.

Printed to be lived with — giclée on archival gallery-grade paper, so the colour holds for years.

  • Giclée print on smooth, acid-free 220gsm gallery-grade fine-art paper
  • Matte finish, faithful colour
  • Portrait, landscape and square sizes available

Better than the photos

I have bought a lot of things online that looked better on a screen, and this was the opposite. I have seen The Glass of Wine in books for twenty years and this is the first version that felt right. Even my father in law said something, and he never says anything. Anyone hesitating should just place the order.

ordering another one soon

I ordered this on a whim during a sale and it turned out to be the best thing I bought all year. The finish does not look like something off an assembly line. It looks expensive next to things that cost twice as much.

Colors are dead on

This was a fortieth birthday present for my wife and she teared up a little. My husband could not name a Vermeer painting before this, and now he points The Glass of Wine out to guests. Genuinely one of the best things I have bought online.
