Rubens's The Four Continents — four reclining women personifying the known continents, each paired with the river god of a great waterway, their warm limbs woven together at the water's edge with a tigress and her cubs close by. It is abundance itself: soft light, ripe colour, a tumble of life. A rich, humane allegory. It brings a generous warmth to a living room or a dining wall, somewhere its unhurried fullness can be enjoyed at length.

Printed to be kept — giclée on gallery-grade archival paper, colour held true.

Real quality for the price

I ordered on a Sunday night and it was at my door Wednesday morning. I grew up with The Four Continents on a calendar in my grandmother's kitchen and this is a far better version. There is nothing cheap about the way this was put together. I could not be happier with how this turned out.

Packed well, took forever

My dining room is small and this still worked, though it is close to the limit.

Bought two more

I have bought a lot of things online that looked better on a screen, and this was the opposite. It came through a January cold snap sitting on the porch at ten below. Thank you for getting this so right. 🙂

Better in person.

We put the poster in the primary bedroom the night it came and the space finally makes sense. 👌
