The making

Woven to order as a jacquard tapestry cushion, then finished and checked by hand before it ships.

Materials & Care

Woven cotton-blend cover with a soft fill. Spot-clean, or remove the cover and machine wash cold on gentle; lay flat to dry.

Dimensions

Choose your size above. Woven by the piece, so expect small, characterful variation.

Shipping & Returns

Woven and shipped in about two weeks — roughly one week to make, one to deliver. Easy returns within 30 days.

In the manner of Ruisdael, Figures with Baskets on Road traces a sandy Dutch track where travellers carry their baskets homeward, small beneath a broad, cloud-laden sky. Woven soft, the wooded lane and its shifting weather settle into the cloth — warm earths and muted greens under a moving light. Lean it into the end of the sofa or prop it in a reading chair: an unhurried landscape you live against rather than only look at, quietly slowing the room around it.

  • Jacquard-woven on both sides in soft, durable yarn
  • Plush and textural — insert included
  • For the sofa, a bed or a reading chair
  • Made to order, just for you

This was a fortieth birthday present for my wife and she teared up a little. Scale was my worry, and Figures with Baskets on Road got exactly the room it needed at this size. The order confirmation, the shipping notice and the delivery all lined up as promised. Everything about the experience was easy.

My favorite thing here

The box arrived without a single dent, which impressed me before I even opened it. Sunlight hits it every afternoon and the color has not moved at all. No complaints from me whatsoever…

Better than the photos

I have bought a lot of things online that looked better on a screen, and this was the opposite. Every figure in Figures with Baskets on Road is sharp enough to pick out, which I did not expect from a Ruisdael at this price. I will be back before the holidays.

Exactly what I wanted.

I bought this for my first apartment and it made the place feel like mine. Nobody walks past Figures with Baskets on Road without stopping. I could not be happier with how this turned out.
