The making

Woven to order as a jacquard tapestry cushion, then finished and checked by hand before it ships.

Homer's The Herring Net holds two fishermen in a small dory, hauling a silver-laden net from a heaving grey-green sea while a schooner fades into the mist. Woven soft, that weather and labour become texture — muted earths and cool water in the weft, the working sea made calm. A weighty cushion for the corner of the sofa or the foot of the bed, quietly grand; a piece of art to live alongside, best met on a slow, grey afternoon.

  • Jacquard-woven on both sides in soft, durable yarn
  • Plush and textural — insert included
  • For the sofa, a bed or a reading chair
